Dealing with Difficult Students Part II

Engagement Description

Summary

Children misbehave often times due to underlying emotional issues that drive their behavior. The lack of attention to these underlying issues compound the problem causing a more complex issue we will discuss later. This course will help you identify and understand emotional issues that might be present.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the types of misbehavior and potential underlying factors to consider.
  2. Develop an approach to misbehavior that considers all students in the classroom.
  3. Increase empathy toward students who might be dealing with emotional and familial difficulties that contribute to maladaptive behavior.
