Summary

Dr. Jane Bluestein explores how considering students’ learning styles can successfully impact teaching, and how our efforts to accommodate a variety of learning styles can reduce stress and resistance, and improve relationships, commitment, and success. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Consider the assumptions we make about how others learn, as well as the characteristics of the students we were taught to teach.
  2. Recognize the importance of a teachers' willingness to teach content more than once, and in more than one way, if necessary.
  3. Explore variations in modality preferences and ways to accommodate these differences.
