In western society, we tend toward fixing symptoms as opposed to listening to the 'messages' from our bodies. While sometimes pharmacological interventions are needed, many times they aren't necessary and hinder long term success in alleviating anxiety. If we turn down the volume on the 'message' we may not hear the underlying need. This should be #10 in the series if you are going in order. Dr. Scherz is a clinical psychologist, author, and educational consultant, working with educators for over twenty years. He earned his Master's in Education from Penn State University and went on to be an elementary school guidance counselor before earning his Ph.D.
