Every educator needs to be aware of the signs/symptoms for children experiencing abuse and neglect. Learn about different types of maltreatment your students may experience and the potential ways these unfortunate circumstances show up. Understand the risks of reporting and not reporting suspected abuse/neglect and the general guidelines for how to handle such complex situations. Remember that each state has their own reporting guidelines.
